Facilities Engineering Maintenance is concerned with efficient and regular servicing of plant and equipment, minimizing breakdowns and interruptions, prompt response and rectification when things do go wrong, maximising system efficiency and energy conservation, and forward planning.
Under the scope of Facilities Engineering Maintenance Services (FEMS), One Medicare is responsible for the provision of comprehensive maintenance services for all civil, structural, mechanical and electrical systems of healthcare facilities in order to ensure 100% uptime is attained at all times. It is also under the responsibility of One Medicare to provide professional advice through conditional appraisals, technical advice and assessments, in order to ensure all hospital assets are utilized at an optimum level.

All Linen and Laundry processes are in accordance to the International Standard. Services include collection of soiled linen, processing of soiled linen and delivery of clean linen to 23 hospitals. One Medicare churns a laundry capacity of more than 20 tonnes per day.
Biomedical Engineering Maintenance Services (BEMS) is a comprehensive maintenance program to carry out effective maintenance and management program to all the biomedical equipment and devices in the hospitals. Through effective management of comprehensive maintenance activities, all biomedical equipment should be functioning in accordance to its originally designed specifications so as to provide a safe and functional environment for patients, operators, visitors and clinical staff.

The Ministry of Health introduced the Sustainability Program to the Concession Agreement for Hospital Support Services in 2015 to support this cause for all 148 hospitals in Malaysia.
One Medicare provides a complete range of services for the management of healthcare waste for 23 hospitals in Sarawak. Recently a lot of focus has been placed in increasing awareness and need for the proper disposal of healthcare waste in the Healthcare industries.
Our service covers from the collection right up to the treatment and safe disposal of all healthcare waste. Healthcare waste are segregated into clinical, solid, pharmaceutical, radioactive, kitchen and general waste.
For Scheduled Waste Management, One Medicare has been active in conducting in-house training for all the Heads of Services, Supervisors, Incinerator Operators, and Drivers to enhance their ability, skill, and knowledge in managing scheduled waste. External trainers such as Bomba Hazmat Malaysia are also invited to share and train the staff on Spillage Management of Schedule Waste. OMSB competent persons also conduct awareness training for staff and hospital representatives to enhance their knowledge and awareness.
One Medicare currently has five (5) incinerator plants for incineration of SW404. All five (5) incinerators are beyond fifteen (15) years old. In 2016, a major refurbishment project was conducted to ensure the proper functioning of the incinerators in order to prevent the occurrence of any major breakdown.
Cleansing services provided by One Medicare Sdn Bhd is to ensure that all 22 Hospitals comply and adhere to strict hygienic standards and is consistent with the infection control standards stipulated by the Ministry of Health.
All our housekeeping and porterage teams need to undergo On the Job Training by Trainers as per the training module by the British Institute of Cleansing Service. Our Cleansing team is responsible for the regular and routine cleansing of all areas and maintain a high level of hygiene in and around the hospital compound at all times.
At One Medicare all Cleaning Operators and Supervisors are trained as per the Training Module set by the British International Cleaning Science (BICS) Competency. Training s related to Cleansing Services (CLS) is to ensure that the cleaning standard and quality are as per the guideline set by the International standard requirement.
